I guess I should introduce myself as well…
I’m not a chef either.  Chefery to me is the art of pretending to be a chef.  Which is something I am definitely good at!  I mean seriously.  I love to cook, I make good food, but I’d never cut it as a professional in terms of cooking in the long run.

Which is fine with me. Like Big-O, I cook when I get a chance.  On the weekends, holidays, and other assorted days if I manage to get home from work early enough.  Which isn’t often.   Most of my cooking is on the stove top, grill (er, not recently though, since I don’t currently have a grill…), or deep fryer (yum!).  My wife does the baking in our house when she’s not busy with other projects.

I’m constantly battling with my desire to experiment with strange and odd flavors and my wife’s desire to feed the kids something they’ll actually eat.  I figure if my kids will eat it, it’s pretty darn tasty.  Then again, my kids are the ones that make pancake sandwiches consisting of bread, pancakes, and ketchup–so who knows.  They also make bacon sandwhiches, so there’s hope yet.

I’ll add to Big-O’s comment: if you like to play with your food while your cooking it, then you’ve found some kindred spirits.  We’ve got some cool stuff planned, so stick around.
