Recipe Disclaimer
According to Wikipedia, a recipe is “a set of instructions that show how to prepare or make something, especially a culinary dish”. As much as we love Wikipedia, the use of the word “instructions” in connection with the term “recipe” is a concept we reject here at Experimental Chefery. This puts the recipe in a position of authority over us, enforcing strict rules about how we conduct our kitchen affairs.
Break free from the recipe overlords! If a recipe sucks, change it! If it looks like it’s not going to taste good it probably won’t so don’t let them fool you, change it! Don’t like an ingredient? Leave it out! Think something is missing? Add it in! Play with it. Create with it. Experiment with it.
You should be aware that we will on occasion be posting recipies here. Any of these should be considered a way for us to retell something that we did, or as suggestions for how to accomplish something. NOT as instructions! We expect, nay, we DEMAND that you make our recipies your own!
Now, go make some experiments!
